Friday, December 5, 2025. Students from the Faculty of Biotechnology at Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta spent the day at KPTT Salatiga on a field trip. A total of 38 participants showed high enthusiasm from the start, especially as guides—Willy, Yenti, Michael, and Agus—took them to explore various corners filled with knowledge and inspiration aligned with their field of study: biotechnology.
In Areas 1 and 2, the learning atmosphere felt vibrant. Students exchanged knowledge while observing the nursery propagation station, fish and edible frog ponds, and the mini greenhouse used for smart farming practice. Visits to the mushroom house, livestock pens, and pet areas rounded out their insights.
The most lively moment occurred when students had the opportunity to interact directly with guinea pigs. KPTT serves as a benchmark institution for hands-on, comprehensive agricultural learning in the city of Salatiga. In addition to recreation, participants gain broad knowledge regarding agriculture and ecological principles.
