Class Outing for Sekolah Rakyat Menengah: Commemorating Earth Day

On Monday, April 27, 2026, Sekolah Rakyat Menengah conducted a class outing at KPTT Salatiga. Participants consisted of 169 Grade 10 students and 36 accompanying teachers.

During the field trip, Grade 10 students from SRM were accompanied by the KPTT Salatiga team. Activities began with an introduction to growing media, plant overplanting (repotting), household-scale livestock, and a tour across Areas 1 and 2.

Participants enthusiastically explored the natural environment of KPTT Salatiga. They also experienced firsthand the sustainable integrated farming implemented at KPTT Salatiga, both in instruction and practical application. All participants actively asked questions and took notes from the guides. Despite the scorching sun, their enthusiasm shone through their smiles and laughter.

Interestingly, the class outing was not merely about observing the KPTT grounds; participants also engaged in concrete greening action. In commemoration of Earth Day, this action was carried out through tree planting. Earth Day is not just an annual ceremony, but a reminder that the earth is our common home. “Our Power, Our Planet.”
