On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, the atmosphere at KPTT Salatiga was filled with laughter as 55 students from SD Kanisius Nglinggi Klaten arrived alongside 7 accompanying teachers. Rather than just a recreational trip, they were introduced directly to the world of crop and livestock farming. Upon arrival, the children were immediately divided into groups. Guided by Dwi, Kekeh, Widya, Advenia, and Ivana—internship students from Sanata Dharma University Yogyakarta—along with vocational intern students (PKL) from SMK Yos Sudarso Cilacap, each group explored exciting stations such as the mushroom house, mini greenhouse, fish and frog ponds, as well as livestock pens and pet areas.
Beyond observing and listening to explanations from KPTT Salatiga staff, participants also got hands-on experience through plant overplanting (repotting). Before planting, they first learned about growing media composition from KPTT staff. This is the strength of KPTT Salatiga—combining field learning that is practical, educational, and fun. It is ideal as an inspiring, character-based agricultural learning environment with a broad perspective for the younger generation.
