Friday, October 17, 2025. A group from SD Kanisius Sidowayah 02 Klaten visited KPTT Salatiga. A total of 106 students, combining children from Grades 4, 5, and 6, participated. During the field trip agenda, students explored Areas 1–2: visiting the nursery propagation site, fish and edible frog ponds, mini greenhouse, mushroom house, livestock enclosures, and pet animals such as guinea pigs. The students grew even more excited when given the opportunity to feed cows; at the edible frog pond, some students were even brave enough to hold and lift the farmed frogs. This visit was accompanied by Advenia, Widya, Ivana, Epin, Scholastic Higa, Vio Cherla, Tirta, Kekeh, Yarlin, Kevin, and Michael.
The next agenda was a hands-on practice session in overplanting (repotting) eggplant seedlings. Before starting, KPTT staff explained the reasoning behind selecting specific growing media compositions to the participants. At KPTT, agricultural learning is always practical and upholds sustainable ecological farming principles while cultivating character and fostering curiosity. With its strategic location and expansive area, KPTT Salatiga is a comfortable environment for anyone looking to learn and get hands-on experience in agriculture and livestock farming.
