Friday, October 3, 2025, was a fun day for Grade 3 students from SD Mardi Rahayu Ungaran. Dressed in white and blue polo shirts, a total of 63 students arrived to participate in a field trip at KPTT Salatiga. After a brief orientation and group division upon arriving at the KPTT complex in the morning, each group began exploring Area 1 and Area 2 of KPTT. Some enjoyed observing pagoda mustard green seedlings in the nursery propagation area, marveled at the fish and edible frog ponds, or were fascinated by the mini greenhouse and mushroom house. A few students were even enthusiastic about holding baby goats—an experience distinctly different from their daily routines. The visit became even more exciting with the chance to see and pet guinea pigs directly. Additionally, the students were introduced to the strawberry cultivation area.
Beyond touring agricultural activities, the students also took part in overplanting (repotting). They had the opportunity to learn hands-on about agriculture. They were guided to understand growing media compositions, from theory to practical mixing alongside friendly KPTT staff—including Mbak Epin, Kak Ivana, Pak Kevin, and the rest of the team. KPTT is well known not just as a place to learn theory, but also for providing enjoyable practical field experience. With a lush environment, innovative programs, and an experienced guiding team, visits like this often become unforgettable moments for anyone seeking to know crop and livestock farming up close while enjoying outdoor learning.
If you wish to visit KPTT, in addition to field trip programs, KPTT also offers other equally engaging programs and courses. Course information can be viewed at this link. For further information, please contact us on this page.
