MPK (Christian Education Council) Commission 7 visited KPTT Salatiga to explore potential collaboration in agriculture—ranging from organic farming systems to livestock management. Within the KPTT complex in Salatiga, the group saw firsthand how KPTT integrates education with production, guided directly by Br. Antonius Dieng Karnedi, S.J., S.S., S.Pd., Director of KPTT Salatiga, accompanied by KPTT staff. KPTT also presented its well-organized field training plots, efficient cultivation workflows, and character building and work ethic programs in alignment with KPTT Salatiga’s vision and mission.
Since 1950, MPK as a non-profit organization has overseen, advanced, and enhanced the quality of Christian education in Indonesia. Through Commission 7’s network covering over 50,000 school units, potential collaboration with KPTT will pave the way toward continuous improvement: organic farming curricula, hygienic livestock barn management, and post-harvest produce entrepreneurship.
