The Live-In Program at the Taman Tani Agricultural Training Center (KPTT) Salatiga is one of KPTT's flagship programs for youth education. Today, KPTT serves as an agricultural training institution that educates and accompanies young adults to become outstanding individuals, particularly in the agricultural sector. KPTT strives to address global challenges surrounding environmental care, food crises, and energy crises. During the live-in program, participants are accompanied by Jesuits (priests and brothers) as well as competent KPTT staff members in their fields.

Hands-on practice in preparing growing media

Smart Farming

Introduction to "Why farming" and becoming a millennial farmer.
Understanding soil, growing media, and plant nutrition.
Understanding the importance of energy and food security for Indonesia.

Field Training in Farming

Participants are divided into several groups.
Participants carry out hands-on practice directly in the field according to their designated area.
Participants plant and maintain leafy greens, fruiting vegetables, plantation commodities, and livestock.

Farming & Ecological Mindset

During hands-on practice: participants get to know KPTT staff and farmers.
Exploring their work, motivation, and profession as farmers.
Participants are guided to understand the correlation between agriculture and the environment.

Live-In Mindful Reflection

Ignatian Reflection: participants are guided to look back on daily experiences to discover divine moments during the live-in program.
Sharing reflections in small and large groups.
